Title: Our trip to Howick Historical Village
Message: On Friday we went to Howick Historical Village. It took a long time to get there. When we got there we had morning tea. First we went to the school. The teacher was very strict. We had to write with slates. It was in the 1850's. Then we went to this building where we learnt about what life was like back in the 1850's. Next we went to another building. We played party games. We went to a church and played with toys. We had lunch. We went home.

Title: Rumplestiltskin
Message: Wednesday 14 may. Today we have been doing reading. The Seals reading group had to read three stories!!! The Whales reading group did a play and it was based on Rumpelstiltskin. Nathan, Jasmine, Brad, Jacob, Calum and James did the play. James was Rumpelstilskin, Nathan was the king, Jasmine was the miller's daughter, Brad was a messenger, Jacob and
Calum were the readers. While the class was watching the play we had brainfood. As Joshua and Lydia were on the laptop we were typing a blog (this blog). Because the name of the blog is Room 19 Nest of Learning, our little friend Stratus is very noisy all the time.

Title: Onepoto Domain
Message: On Tuesday we went to Onepoto Domain for our EOTC day (Education Outside the Classroom). There were a few different activities on offer. Mr Peel did some trust games, Mrs Buchanan organised some awesome physical challenge games, Mrs Edington took the kids for first aid, Mrs Laidlaw sent kids off to all corners for orienteering, and Ms Delaney did nature art. Here is an example of some nature art that Room 19 did.
Everyone was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day, but we'd all learnt something new (including the teachers and parent helpers).
